Beginning in the 1960’s, my family opened their first restaurant and began developing real estate in Long Island. In 1976, we opened our first 200 room hotel located at Islip MacArthur Airport in New York. From that point on, we began to develop many more hotels and became leaders in the hospitality industry. We also expanded into retail, restaurants, multifamily, and other real estate ventures spreading throughout the northeast.
In 1991, I established George Tsunis Real Estate, Inc. and ventured into the brokerage business. After 50 successful years in New York, my family and I relocated to Florida in 2012. As we continued to grow we established our own niche in extended stay hotel and retail development under SunState Hotels, LLC. We then developed a new Home2 Suites by Hilton in central Florida. SunState Hotels, LLC will partner and/or assist you in finding the location and obtaining approvals throughout the entire development process.
